I love that route! I'd be happy to help. Two of my brothers live locally and could help too. "its probably a virus, you'll be right as rain in a few days and if you're playing sport try to favour the other leg"

So I'm thinking that 16 D3's rumbling up the Old Coach Road is NOT going to be good for the rest of the route, never mind the bit with the hole
So we send just two guys up there to operate shovels and the other 14 get pished in a local hostelry?
Seriously though, operation will need to be well coordinated Steve N | 2006 TDV6 S Auto in Buckingham Blue | Member of the top ten club | Am I online?

Of course I'm happy to say thanks for the support and I'm sorry if you think I've neglected saying thanks but its not me thats organising the repairs I'm just the messenger and we haven't actually done anything yet! I'm sure the organisers of the repairs will be very happy to thank everyone who turns up to help. However, at the moment its unclear what is actually going to happen. The Council may be intending to use their own contractors to do the work so we are all waiting to find out and I'll pass on more info when I know it

I dont care whether I get thanked or not. I'm not so insecure that I worry about that sort of thing - just happy to help.
Oh, there seems to be a problem with the sign-up - Simons name has not registered properly. Perhaps a moderator could add it Duncan

Who bit your bum dunc ?
I just thought it strange that there was no reply after the burst of positive responses - considering the stink created recently.
And I may come along... the Lakes are a long way from me and fuel is fracking expensive, and TBH, as SN said - there will be a lot of vehicles driving the route potentially causing more damage.

No there won't, thats not how these repair parties are organised. Volunteers either walk to the repair or are transported there by one or two vehicles only.
