Sadly no, it now seems likely that Cumbria County Council may be going to do this repair themselves using their own contractors. I'll update you if and when we know more information.

If Top gear can do a road in Warwickshire, I am sure we can do one in the Lakes.
GreenLaner keep us posted as I will come and help, but have ot plan around work, family, dogs, horses etc and a mid week "this weekend" post will see me stuck ! "To finish first, one first has to finish ...."

Well, finally I have news!
Thanks to everyone who has volunteered to help with the repairs but we won't be needed as Cumbria County Council have now repaired the holes in the Old Coach Road and all is well again! The road has returned to being an easy and pleasant drive through the countryside.

Been there last Oct and only one large hole.
Was still driveable, but questionable at the time.
Question is [if you've not already done it Greenlaner] :-
Who's going to drive it and report back?? slowly re-building my gallery after the wipe out !!!!

No, I've not been up there recently but someone on Difflock has been and says there is no sign of the holes at all.
We will be going to take alook soon though!
