Anyone nearing end of warranty? Yeovil can help

With a little over 6 months to go on mine I was starting to get a tad nervous, especially as there are still some unresolved issues to fix. Then Yeovil LR came up with a stormer of a deal, based on the 50/50 deal LR are offering on Disco3s at the moment.

In a nutshell, I'm throwing the keys to my 06 SE at them and they in return are handing me a new 08.5 SE, a cheque back and nothing to pay for two years. At the end of the two years there's a balloon payment of just over £17k (based on 24,000 miles per annum), interest free, no hidden fees or extras. And unlike some dealers who use deals like this to hide their bottom line price, Yeovil have proven VERY keen on the price for Disco3 members, certainly a match for other dealers in the area.

So if you're tempted, speak to The Large One who'll get one of the sales team to give you a ring or ring Keiron Flack at Yeovil directly and tell him you're a Disco3 member Thumbs Up

The downside?

I opted for Zambezi Silver in the end Whistle Whistle Whistle

I have been banned from swapping the car for at least 12 months, in the last few years I haven't managed to keep a car for a year and SWMBO is not happy about all the changing.

That's a bloody good deal Al, worthing having a think about. Although having a silver one would have been the deal breaker for me Whistle

Yeah, should have it in time for the next SE meet. Should be ready around the 21st or thereabouts. And all my resprays are free, although I can only get it in one shade of mud around here.

How come the advert states Dicovery 3 GS Auto as the example

"As part of our 60th anniversary celebrations we have 2 very special promotions.

A Discovery 3 GS Automatic from just £29,960"

and at the bottom it says.

"This promotional offer is not available in combination with other promotions and excudes Discovery 3 GS Automatic models and all 09MY vehicles."

Am I reading it wrong Confused or is "excudes" a new word meaning something different.

EDIT - I am reading it wrong, you either get a discount or the interest free Thud .

It's a two-pronged offer. They have a discounted price on the GS Auto of £29960 OR you can have any other model with the 2 years, 2 payments, including the GS manual at £29920.

Note, and a very important one: It's not "discount OR 0%" as that would be illegal. Ford Credit lost a very important case on this particular piece of the Consumer Credit legislation back in the early 1990s and aren't going to make that mistake again! The ad tells you there is a promotional price on the GS auto and that you can get a special interest rate on all other 08.5 models Thumbs Up
