Hernan, the filter did its job well, everything above the filter was as clean as a whistle, it was the air box that the filter sits in when I lifted the filter out the sand that the filter stopped from entering the inlet had settled/dropped out of the filter and was sitting in the bottom of the air box, so I don't think the type of filter would have made a difference.

Not sure - but just the first setting seems to produce the effect.

Without any "Tune" you will notice a drop between "Normal" and "Grass Gravel Snow" as teh throttel response is muted.

You have to run the "Sand" special programme which normally sharpens the throttle response in comparison to the Normal programme.

ie if in Sand it feels quicker than normal, the tune is missing......

If normal feels faster than sand, then the tune is still there.....

In any case remember that it takes a few seconds for the engine maps to change

Interesting... on the petrol disco TR makes the throttle tip-in less aggressive when in sand mode so that you won't dig in every time you touch the accelerator. It's the other way around in the diesel?
