Just noticed - no mudflaps??
Is that cos they'd have to be colour coded and then look really naff?
Just wondering how the G4 model is going to turn out in body coloured tangiers?
It's the current black n orange contrast that makes it what it is.

Just in case you want a girly point of view, I like it. However I do agree on the scratch comments, it does look a bit shiney and special and for one of those that only cleans (polishes) it when it looks really bad maybe not a good thing. Is it trying a bit too hard for a Disco?? Is it trying to be an FFRR??
Ps, just had an interesting eve at local, where I overheard a couple of blokes discussing my Disco3 (parked in carpark in full view in amongst a Jag, Aston Martin, FFRR and, X5, and well over due for a valet/makeover!), "what a great vehicle, nice lines, mmmmn might test drive one this week!" For the first time in my life felt very chuffed about my choice of vehicles and aren't I a lucky girl! If at first you don't succeed.... destroy all evidence that you tried in the first place!!

Aw c'mon. Scratcheson the bumper and the door handles! If you're gonna use the D3 for its designed purpose, you're going to have to accept a few minor battle scars over time, and most of those can be polished out in any event. Mine seems to be the only one in Muscat that's got anything other than RTA and reversing scars!! It's a LAND ROVER for goodness sakes.

Of course it looks fine in stornoway and I'm sure in most dark colors it will be OK, but if you get it in a light color it will just be too much of an unbroken expanse of the same thing...
Perhaps a grille like the Range Rovers (the silver thing that looks like a cheese grater) would help?
I think for the lighter colors the A-bar with driving lamps will become a must-have accessory, just to break it up a little.

Grained parts available on base-spec models, not optional on SE/HSE. --

I just don't think it works. If they are going to colour code the bumpers, then they needed to redesign them so that they would look 'right' once sprayed.
The wheels are the worst I've seen from LR.
No thanks.

The 09MY and pre-09MY are actually different bumpers.
Pre-09MY retains grained corners to supply spares. 09MY does not have grained corners to eliminate need for grain-filling primers. --

I'll be secifying my 09 HSE with grey bumpers and wheel arches. And if I can't get them to build it that way, I'll just have to buy the grey plastics and swap them over Oh, and the HSE wheels will be on ebay pretty smartish too.
The shiny bits, particularly the kick panel at the bottom of the lower tailgate, are just not practical for me.
Of course, its horses for courses, but it's not my cup of tea. mooie koplampen
