Its getting bit too expensive for me. My 55 plate manual SE is worth what? £18k? I want a manual car but have to pay for an auto these days with the the SE so its about £42k with a few bits on it or about £38k with a bit of haggling. £20k to change? I think I'll run mine another three years and see how I go. What will my car be worth at six years old? £8k? So £10k depreciation for the 2nd three year period on my car vs £20k for the 1st three year period on a new car today.

Looks the same as these pre-release shots I saved from several months ago. It was seeing these that made me hurry up and get an 08. So glad I did. Only 09ish thing I did to mine was add clear side markers(like the 3rd pic below), which I think look nicer. I like the new wheel design as well, but I was changing mine out to 18" wheels anyway to add some better all-terrains. It was hard to find an HSE with the luxury package interior and a locking rear diff. Finally did though.

It's the same interior as 8.5 MY. No changes - but one new colour. Almond "To finish first, one first has to finish ...."

Thanks Boaz, I have an 08 LR3 V8 HSE that looks just like that but with Alpaca (and possibly a bit lighter wood, but similar). Was just wondering whether any changes for 09 - thanks 90BHP.

(big savings)

Same here. I had a look at a new Java Black one at my local dealers and it does not look good at all. I'm getting on for having it three years, much longer than any other car I've had, but will find it hard to change to a new one.
Pricing has taken a bit of a jump over the last while as well. I look at what I paid for my new 'S' spec in Nov' 2005 and a similar like for like spec now is a lot more expensive. The constant tinkering with spec and model line up in the weekly LR money pinching meeting is really taking its toll.
Although you can see the target market that they are aiming at. The school run and tarmac bling machines.
I really dont know what i'll buy next. Needing car cleaning or detailing products. Check my website then PM me for 10% off. Free delivery on orders over £50
