Not to me he didn't Evil or Very Mad

After looking at other covers yesterday at Billing (UK LR covers), these ones don't come with arm rest/head rest covers. Not that that bothers me 'cos I haven't got arm rests Wink

Guys

I bought some of the LICENCE2SELL covers and I wasn't that impressed and would question the quality. I haven't taken it up with them via eBay as I regarded it as a "get what you pay for on eBay" moment.

Main thing for me is that they're certainly not waterproof, although they are tailored nicely to fit. There is no PU or similar waterproof coating on the back of the nylon face material, so any wetness simply soaks straight through. That said they cover the seats and will keep dry dirt off so aren't that bad for the money. Only problem is I need waterproof as I live near the beach and it is handy to sometimes just jump in the car for a quick drive home in damp boardies.

Just thought it was worth mentioning though...

He doesn't claim they are waterproof.

If you check LR005213 on Google, these covers are not them. He's selling fakes, I guess....

He doesn't say they're waterproof, but they are listed as genuine and the genuine ones ARE waterproof. As I said - they're not bad for the money, they're just not the full spec. in my opinion. Draw your own conclusions.

bit confused now,
was about to check with
http://www.ownerinfo.landrover.com/extfree2viewlrprod/index.jsp but they seem down, found the same part on
http://lrparts.dealerfit.com/store/land-ro...99_718.php though ..
so LR005213 is a genuine LR part, the picture shows an LR item as well, he states that it is genuine, and yet they aren't waterproof ?

I'd agree with that.

The covers in the picture on the lrparts page (LR005213) aren't the covers you get. You don't get the headrest cover, you don't get the armrest cover, and afer seeing real ones these are about 1/3 the thickness. They are light grey and have a silver/green stripe in one corner. Didn't know they weren't waterproof (this is a bit annoying, as I wanted them for exactly the same reason as nosweat), but I might treat them with some water repellant spray. They are a tailored fit, branded as LR and have the slit for the airbag. Would have preferred the pukka items, but you pays your money....

Don't agree, you may pay your money, but you aren't once you pay for something else than was listed ...
it's not so uncommon to pay less than 50% of the retail-prices on ebay, it's just a matter of being honest, if it isn't genuine or the real thing, don't say so .. that's my HO Rolling Eyes

a pitty, because it looked good, perhaps too good to be real ? Laughing Big Cry

My set arrived yesterday Thumbs Up and inside the plastic holder has a Land Rover type information card which states they are waterproof and the tag attached to the covers also states waterproof – I hope they are as this is what I too purchased them for. I will have to conduct a test or two tomorrow to check for sure

Mine also includes 2 headrest and 2 arm rest covers.

Disco 3 Seat Covers

Emailed Licence2sell to ask why these differ from the UK spec covers, he advised me that these are stock he has bought from a closed down LR dealer in Cyprus - does the trick for me! Keeps the kids and dogs off my nice leather trim !! Glad to see you got yours Flinti!
