Question: which make auto box does MB actually install & is it the same across the whole range?

I believe the Disco box is ZF........but in the early days of vehicle development was going to be NVG (New Venture Gear - American made)

The D3 ZF auto unit is the same base unit as that on the Aston Martin DB9. Excellent kit. Only one slight drawback, it will cache revs when pulling away. That means even with a tune to reduce turbo lag there will still be a moment between pushing the accelerator and the car beginning to move. Slight, but still there.

Other than that, for towing, off road, motorway etc. brilliant Very Happy

Twin tubs may be more awkward to use....but they make a better job of the laundry Whistle

Mixed cycle yes, higher tax band yes. On motorway fuel economy / CO2 of auto almost the same (converter lock)
