Ron, it's a straight swap at the dealership, with them putting the 18s on to my old car and ditching the frankly ferked 19s currently on it, but I'm beginning to think I'll be better off hanging on to the 18s as they are rather nice, and the tyres are cheaper!!! Carbon footprint? I neither know nor give a damn

Them there new 18's are sods for picking up brake dust particles etc & embedding in the laquer in the way the old style 1's do. And harder to clean.
But they do look D3 number 3: 08 TDV6 SE Stormygrey /owlpacker

Ron, yep can't disagree with that, new 10spokes + BFG AT's = but they'd hold a fair amount of mud & are difficult to clean out.
I use old 5 spokes off road - easier to get your paws in to clear the mud (see flintstone wheels post!!)
trouble is they don't look so D3 number 3: 08 TDV6 SE Stormygrey /owlpacker

Al, When you say you'l get the windows tinted a little more.... That seems to imply that you asked for privacy glass, but you certainly didn't get that.... it! It's got a load of black bits on OK!!!

No stone chips yet, just good old insects finding out about the aerodynamic qualities of the D3. They are his and hers.... the one behind Stella's car is hers for garden machinery etc. while the one behind mine is my garage/workshop for man things and general cocking around with pillar drills, bench grinders and other stuff
Bodsy, no I didn't spec privacy glass as I don't want it that dark. I'm just going to add a light smoke tint to the rear glass to take it down a notch.
Still can't decide about the wheels..... but have a few days to make my mind up on them Carbon footprint? I neither know nor give a damn
