Because of the sensitive nature of my business, I've decided to offset my carbon for a year.
That way if any customer was concerned by my vehicle choice, I now aint going to lose their business.
Trouble is, Climate Care only give you a certificate ... fat lot of good that does.
What I needed was a personalised vehicle sticker, but none are available
So, I made up my own.
I've included the Xcel spreadsheet, should someone want to do the same.
http://www.disco3.co.uk/gallery/albums/use...20Care.xls
sheet 1 is my sticker, you can change to your own reg.
sheet 2 are the logos
Whether you offset or not, it's up to you.

Where and how do i get one of the small round stickers?... getting a bit tired of the muppets out there making uninformed comments especially as dust to dust the Discovery is not as bad as a lot of the 'eco freindly' cars out there!
Cheers

Yeah, but back in the olden days D3's didn't come with them!!
Also mine is 106k miles ... so the 45k one is a bit out. Blessed are the cracked, for they shall let in the light.

K1 the stickers are on the vehicles from new!
I think you can still offset your CFP if you contact climate care direct.
Anyway stickers are not going to stop from making comments about our vehicles.
i use`mine to ferry me and my team mates around for Mountain Rescue duties as well as being my transport and i still get Chelsea tractor comments, hope none of them get stuck up a mountain in winter Its not the height of the fall but the sudden stop at the bottom that hurts!!

Honestly, up in Aberdeen? Never had a comment about the Disco or the 90 around here! Happiness is a vectored thrust! (As seen on a Harrier GR3)
1980 Series 3 restoration - Mine
Very dirty 1996 Defender 90 - Soon to be mine!
Stornaway Grey D3 HSE - Dads!
Asure Blue S1 Lotus Elise - Also dads!
It's a long way to the top!

Had a couple in the city centre, saw a sticker on a D2 at the beach that some anti must have put on it went along the lines of "bad vehicle choice/killing the planet etc"
Yip Maverick even up in Aberdeen!!!
Different when your in the 'chuntry' though
Heading into the city centre tonight and probably using all seven seats so how the for reducing my carbon footprint better than a smokey stagecoach bus Its not the height of the fall but the sudden stop at the bottom that hurts!!

Offset their (greenies) carbon by reversing over them.Job done.
2 greenies should equate to the D3's footprint ( that word bugs the bejaysus outta me)
Just laugh in their face , I wouldn't give them the satisfaction of even entering into conversation. Don't take life me too seriously ..... it's I'm not permanent
