RM - Just want to correct one of your points, the road in question is a Motorway and not a single carriageway, so I don't believe they were necessarily taking unjust risks. The police are well trained in high speed pursuit and until all the facts are known it’s very easy to assume it was their actions that caused this to crash the car.
My thoughts are with the family of the totally innocent driver. Why we are now spending time and tax payers money to try and save this I don’t know. He should have been left in the wreckage to suffer for what he has done.
Yep, true - I should have perhaps included 'without reference to this particular incident', especially as it looks like the car jumped the central res whilst the police were boxing it in to slow it down. Maybe I should watch less Police, Camera, Action programmes! D3 TDV6 S 2005 - TorqTune, Privacy Glass, Remote FBH, 19" HSE Alloys, Boot liner, retrofit F&R PDC, RAI

I've been known for knee-jerk reactions on this issue but as I get a bit older I have realised that these kids are products of their environments pure and simple.
Unfortunately, we can't fix this particular generation, but it's long overdue that we start to do something about how and where the kids are coming from.
Parents are the problem - pure and simple. But then you have to ask what's wrong with the parents. The answer comes to the enlightened that their upbringing must have been lacking too.
I think it's a tragedy for all concerned and I don't have the answers. Only an idea about the symptoms.
A few more years and I'll be suggesting national service........ The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom

The local radio is now reporting that the was driving a stolen Mitsubishi Warrior and he has suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Sometimes there is no justice in this world. You can be sure that when he comes before the courts he will get a slap on the rist and walk away.

Look a bit deeper and wider CW. It's not as simplistic a view as you may wish to think.
Parents are the problem - not necessarily the ones of child 'A', but the ones who spawned children 'B'-'F' that 'A' starts hanging out with........
The fact is that social 'issues' such as broken homes and deprivation affect everybody via child-peer association. Unfortunately, the people who could make a difference are usually too remote to see the problem. The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom

and what about those kids that can leagally leave home and the parents have no say in it. it is now illegal in some if not most states here to spank your child. some states do however allow you to discipline your child between the upper knee to the base of the buttock. they also get taught that they have rights and you cannot ground them or make them go without otherwise you will be breaking the law. I agree parents have a lot to answer for but not all parents need to be tarred with this brush.

She was lurking around my gallery John.
Couldn't get rid of her!
So I asked her if she wanted to come on site ... and she did.
