Forbidden to 'Annoy a Catholic' in Sydney NSW

Maybe some of our NSW brothern could explain themselves Rolling Eyes

e-mailed to me today:

'We have the Pope here at the moment - 500'000 people expected to turn out for his mass on Sunday which is being held across the road from the venue in Randwick racecourse and centennial park - There has been an influx of over 120'000 international visitors(more than the 2000 olympics) for what is called 'World Youth Day' and its a mad bunch of catholics running around with flags draped around them chanting oi oi oi to everything they can think of screaming out.
There were lots of protestors too, they were handing out free condoms and wearing t-shirts saying 'the pope is wrong wear a condom' so the state government last week passed a new law which made it illegal to annoy a catholic - I kid you not, that was the legal definition of the offence 'annoy a catholic' - if you were caught wearing one of these t-shirts or handing out condoms or generally annoying any of these saints the you were fined $5500- -- - - someone got fined on the day the law was passed and took the state to the federal court at which point the fine was quashed and the law was thrown out and the NSW state government made look like a bunch of tools for coming up with such utter nonsense in the first place - - now every c Censored nt is going around with the t-shirts on, hilarious stuff.

What a country! Laughing

There are plenty of wa Censored ers like this, running State/Territory Governments all
over this Continent ...... Tasmania is a good example (I've lived there too ) of rights-abuses.
All of them legislate policy on the run Evil or Very Mad ....... maybe we should be grateful there is
no Death Penalty here , unlike the USA.
