Don't know if the D3 forum is the place for this, but exposure can't be a bad thing I suppose?
How about this for a 2nd car to save the missus from using the D3.....

This car belongs to SWMBO but she now says she wants an Audi/Porsche RS2. Who am I to complain? Anyway, if you need something which isn't going to break the bank but will still show a 1.8T how a proper engine sounds, then this is the thing.

You don't see many of these because most folks went for the diesel load luggers. However, she pulls 32mpg out of this one which makes the diesel less attractive at current prices. It's 3 years old with full history and 22k miles on the clock. HPi clear with no accidents, damage or finance outstanding. It's a heck of a lot cheaper to run than an S4 / RS4 and yet it still provides grin factor with a more comfortable ride. 0-60 time is in the sub 6.5sec category from the 254bhp V6. Fully Comp Insurance for us is £340. Better still, this is the facelift model so it doesn't look dated. This one has a further 2 years of Audi Warranty remaining and is (as they say) 'fully loaded' with almost every extra available at new:
Adaptive Zenons (turn with the steering)
Electric heated memory seats
Cruise Control
Driver Info Centre
Fold-in mirrors
Sat Nav DVD
MP3 (Card Slots behind Nav Screen)
Leather / Alcantara
Additional Rear Airbags
Front & Rear PDC
Auto Lights / Wipers
Daylight Running Pack
Roof Rails
Front Armrest
Interior is in fantastic condition and is a nice place to be with the lightstone leather/alcantara combination complimenting the unmarked Mauritius Blue Metallic Paintwork.
We paid £24k for this car a year ago from Listers in Birmingham. It was a one owner car when we got it and it would retail at a dealer now for about £18995. I'm reckoning on taking the first offer of £16.5k as this is the trade-in I'm being offered. A heck of a lot of car for than money as it was almost £40k when new.
Anyone interested please PM me.
If sold via the forum than a health 3-figure wedge (without the decimal point) goes to Martin. The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom
