| Underbody Protection Plate |
|
Does anyone know if this underbody plate is available in the U.S.?
I don't plan to use a winch, and would rather have this one. But the only ones I see over here are the ones with the large slats in them, for the winch to go in. I'd rather not have that one. The couple dealers I've contacted only carry the one that goes with the winch, like this one.
Thanks.

The top pic is my D3 , be careful though I started with the Mantec guard and now the list is endless. Brute force and ignorance, the D3 does the rest.

Really? That's an aftermarket guard? Because the Land Rover Owner Info website has it listed as an official Land Rover accessory. Part number LR007483 complete with their standard heiroglyphic installation "instructions". But the dealers here in California I've checked with don't have it. I also couldn't find it on the Mantec website listed above.

Not on the Mantac website but half the price (ish) from Mantec than LR, well LR have margins to think of!!!
I started the craze (followed by 3 or 4 group buys via JMC) for the plate as I asked the blokes at Land Rover Experience (Eastnor) "where do you get those from?" then bought mine direct. Most excelent piece of kit (but I would say that! ) and wll worth getting as the scrapes in mine will testify! Honda Dog U better DUCK!!!!!

Mantec makes the LR guard, so it's not really aftermarket per se, you're just getting the part directly from the supplier as opposed to through LR.
Your best bet is to contact Mantec in the UK directly, I've spoken with them before and they are responsive. The quote I had gotten was 270 gbp plus shipping, but I'm sure they can hook you up with a local vendor.

hi there, I agree Mantec are very nice folk, only problem was they wait to do a batch of plates so I couldn't get mine as quickly as I wanted. I spoke with Nick at Yeoville landrover who was most helpful and had a non winch version in stock and only about £40 more than mantec! He may organise to send over to you 2005 TDV6 HSE, Dual battery (TFC) with 1000w inverter,
Fitted finally, rear ladder and mantec plate - wow too easy

My Mantec plate has saved its cost already (JMC special price, of course)...
Apart from three genuine rock dings which would not have done much damage without it, we got speared by a 3 foot steel javelin at 60mph - Mantec deflected it.
The offending item was a caravan stabiliser from the vehicle in front, which had worked loose, fell off and skittered, rolled and bounced in front of me. With not much time to react, I centred the D3 over it's projected path to avoid a blow-out. I yelled DUCK to SWMBO in case it cartwheeled and flipped up to windscreen height but it stayed low and hit the Mantec and bumper. It would have taken out the oil cooler for sure without 8mm of (now bent) aluminium to deflect it downwards. The noise was awful. I expected to see no front end on the D3 when I managed to stop, but no. Slight bend on Mantec, slight split in bumper, no underbody damage (despite awesome noise underneath).
Poor old artic behind pulled up b....y quick onto hard shoulder - I have no idea what it did to him... 06 TDV6 SE Tonga Green
Mantec Plate (with three "dings"), BCB rope, Hidden winch (hidden in garage...), Webasto timer (in box), TorqTuned ((tee hee)²), Origin b2 (in case), Traffic master jam warner (in expectation), FT8800, Motorola GM360, INTEK H-520+ (in a tangle)
