Spoke to williams again,
They have said that the TSB for bush settle does not exist anymore as he has spoken to LR CC. He said he would be unable to diagnose any problem until he does a 4 wheel alignment check, which would cost me 222.00!! He then said that only then would he be able to say what the problem exactly is and if its down to a manufacturing fault, then a claim could be submitted for tyres but he said that LR do not generally pay for these
what should I do??
as for the gears, he said he still has not had a problem with them He is going to try again in the morning and see what happens
Lights just need new bulbs
He said he has hooked ithe engine up to the diagnostic computer and found no faults!! can I ask if the computer would automatically put any firmware updates onto the ECU

Some one on here had 4 wheel alignment done for £99 if i remember correctly ( cant remember which dealer though)
Harwoods in Edenbridge (Kent but also has branches in Sussex and Hampshire from memory) will do it for £99 all in. You can't do it at Kwikfit or similar as its a 3D alignment with the air suspension rather than just toe-in/out. They reckon it's about 2.5 hours work (which fits with the £222 quote) but for that money, no-one ever got it done and they ended up with a bunch of complaints.
Tell them to price match this Help get this page up the rankings please

There will be a printout showing the before and after readings. As it's a second hand car, I suspect the argument will be with your supplying dealer as to whether it was a pre-existing problem and one that they could and should have corrected prior. Mileage covered by you may well be pertinent.
You may get lucky with LRCS, but I would reckon that their gesture w.r.t the alignment check is the extent of their goodwill here. Time flies like an arrow; fruit flies like a banana

There was an article about 4 wheel alignment recently in one of the LR mags, was that Harwoods? Whoever it was, they had all the kit to put the suspension in the right mode etc to perform the alignment.
Will be checking our tyre insides tonight, paranoid now!

| Tyre worn on inside of rear tyres |
|
Hi Guys,
I have an 06 HSE. Are you saying that if I have the same wear as DaveT's picture on this thread then i have a chance of having misalignment and this should be repaired under warranty? Do you think I have a chance at some FOC tyres.
Thanks
Gus
