I-pod issue

Hi guys, slight issue with my i-pod connector insofar as sometimes the buttons on steerig wheel won't control the pod but they will still work the cd, radio etc.
i'm sure 10forcash told me how to cure it but i can't blooming remember....seemed to cure itself before when the battery was disconnected but is there another way without doing this?

.....mine did exactly that

& it was found to be a push in plugged connection onto one of the "boxes" behind the dash....all that was needed was a firm push to get it "home" & its been OK since.
The dealers were all ready to fit complete new unit but being very practical tested everything before they did this.

Since then it has worked A OK

Guys, new to the D3 and this forum ...it's been very helpful. got a shipment due in tomorrow from Nick, including the infamous ACM I have read so much about. quick question...as Perrys did not give me a security code, will i need one to reset anything after disconnecting the battery?

slightly o/t Wiggs ( and I'm sure you know already! ) but a colleague of mine tried his new 3g Iphone on my recently installed kit and it works fine and charges it, which apparently according to him is unusual as they've changed the way the USB charging works or something?

oh and welcome to the site Triple4 Thumbs Up have you got a sticker yet?

Yes the 3g iphone only charges through USB now ..it use to accept a charge through the firewire pins .

Bose SoundDock or Belkin car kit do not work as they charge through firewire.

Apple are making some adapters aparently
