| Warranty expires 30 July - only one fault in three years |

My warranty comes up on 30 July. I have had one issue with the car - cruise control dropping out. It was fixed a year ago with a software update yet has returned in the past week, great timing in the last few days of the warranty!!!
I took it into Guava - Godalming today for a service and MOT. Cost was £358, which I thought was ok for third service after 35500 miles. They did the latest software update and a recall item on the tow bar (not sure what this was, as I have not got a tow bar yet).
William, Guava's new Service Manager, advised the cruise control was a repair item for Land Rover with a new "rotary coupling" required - I guess this is the same as the clock spring mentioned on previous posts. It will be done under warranty when they get the part in. Apparently they have modified the design - may be worth getting done under warranty for those of you who have the same issue.
On another note, I have been averaging 28 mpg recently with town and motorway driving on an auto box. This coupled with dropping diesel prices makes me feel good about driving the Disco at the moment. Lets hope the reliabilty continues too...................................... 05 2.7TDV6 S AUTO Silver, Mantec plate, Leather seats, mud flaps, side steps, roof bars, Tasmods stainless sill plates, Takla jack, T-max compressor, Garmin 610

Claud - I'm with you! Only fault in the last 2.5 years was the cruise control which was dealt with.
35k miles and no worries The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom

Who are Guava? I've been past and they don't appear as a normal dealership per se? Are they?

I guess I have been lucky on the reliabilty front.
Guava are based in Godalming, as Slimer says they only do export sales, but there is always a few directors cars second hand with a few miles on the clock. Currently two FFRRs and a Defender in the show room.
They charge £85/hr labour compared with Guildford's Hunters at £130/hr and have a much better reputation for fixing problems and customer service.
They have a very modern facility and excellent workshop.
There are a few posts on here singing their praises. 05 2.7TDV6 S AUTO Silver, Mantec plate, Leather seats, mud flaps, side steps, roof bars, Tasmods stainless sill plates, Takla jack, T-max compressor, Garmin 610
