Hang on a minute...

some buy a Land Rover & live with the issues......
.....I've had four from a D1 300 Td1 ES, a couple of D2's with a variety of snags & either got them sorted or got rid quick...I didn't buy my D3 until 2 years after the mode launch basically to miss the usual issues you get with an entirely new launch model.
....other contributors to this thread have issues ,some are slight annoying niggles right through to what are major defects which could be either design, build quality or component supplier caused.....hence the many posts on this site.
.....Many more have bought Land Rover - tried them & moved away from the brand regardless of the history, brand image unique Land Rover advantages or esteem in having a Land Rover - they just want a reliable no nonsense vehicle - however these people with valid opinions didn't influence me or many others on here..
The whole point of the thread is that If marketing or product design at Land Rover read this type of thread hopefully the vehicle will be developed ....not the dopey cosmetic changes, but tangible changes & modifications to improve function, usability & reliability.....I just hope they do....it isn't Blah
.....other automotive companies consider "the customer is King".....If Land Rover can build the right image they might have even more sales. ....have Disco3 HSE TD6 Auto...
....also S Type 2.7 Auto....

Agree with the above. TBH I would like LR to sort out first the reliability issues, ride hight speed issue first then look at the new features as well as fixing the crap features, ie tow bar, suspension hight speed, spair wheel position, small fuel tank ets.

I'm afraid it probably is ...how many people on this site suggested the 'improvements' we are seeing now on MY09....I would figure about ....hmmm now let me get this right ...oh yes ....about none
LR aren't really playing to the off-road market ...I would go as far to say that we won't see any further 'off roading' enhancements to the D3. They will just concentrate on making what they have work properly and make it more exclusive cosmetically by going further up market.
That's MO ...and thats why when Mr A Wheel reads this thread it'll be all Blah to him too Powered by TorqTune

The missus and kids are away for a week, so ... how about the ability to set a photo as wallpaper on the LCD screen built into the dashboard? I'd load a picture of the family. In india (in keeping with Tata ownership), they might pre-load Ganesh, known there as the Remover of Obstacles and more generally as Lord of Beginnings and Lord of Obstacles

What's wrong with the tow bar? Had no problems with the removable one, or are you on about the fixed one? Very dirty 1996 Defender 90 - Soon to be mine!

Climbing holds for the vertically challenged. Ever tried loading a top box. Pogo sticks and Kangaroo balls are too inefficient. I'm only getting a 20% hit rate on landing wifey's fine bone china collection in the top box.

Maverick,
Dont like the LR tow bar, too low for off road, even too low backing out of sloping driveways. certinaly too low for my trailers, would have to have extension to lift itat least 200mm. LR in hand book says to remove it for off road , what good is that ? Would not be able to tow off road trailer on trips. In my case I have replaced it with a propper tow bar,
