It only seems to apply to Rover Sports. Is that correct or does it also apply to D3's ?
It gives the D3 VIN range on there - 5A309377 to 6A376426
It would be good to see the Appendix showing the procedure - does it involve replacing the clock spring assembply or modifying the steering assembly? I assume this also covers vehicles out of warranty?Previously:

Guava (Godalming) will do mine under warranty (even though it is now expired) soon, just waiting for the part. My issue was cruise control dropping our randomly.2016 D4 Landmark

Resurrecting An Old Topic
Know I'm resurrecting an old topic here, but I have a US spec D3 in that VIN range and yep, cruis control is acting up. I'm confident I can change it out myself without a problem; I just don't want to pay for it!
Anyone stateside had this done at no cost? (i.e. anyone had the dealer foot the bill?) Anyone know if the TSB is valid here in the states? (although it expired a year ago)

Try junping up andf down about a safety issue as the clock spring controls the air drivers bag and if it needs to go off and the clock spring doesn't connect it could have serious concequences. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

Having worked at LR in the states I'd almost fear being laughed at. Sadly here in South Carolina there aren't too many laws protecting consumers and dealers could care less.
I'll see if I can work my magic though 8)
Haven't gotten an SRS light yet.
Do you happen to know where the connector is (thought I possibly read it was behind the DVD player under the seat?) understand that might help the problem a bit reconnecting and disconnecting.

Was this not covered by the following safety recall in the US?

Mine had the same issue with cruise (and it's a late 07), dealer fixed it. Clockspring was the issue.17 Discovery 5 HSE Si6, Fuji White on brown | 07 LR3 SE 4.4 Java Black on Alpaca

Hmmm I'll have to call the dealership I used to work at and see if it was performed on the vehicle before I bought it. Don't believe there are any open recalls on my VIN but my passwords expired long ago to check.
Thanks for the tip, zig!

Mine falls within the VIN range, I assume therefore it's not just an Austrailian thing and applies to the UK as well? If so will have to check it's been done, as the expiry date for the repair states it's 2010

I don't think they can expire a safety recall? “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€
