remember one thing though, Apple released the original iphone earlier this year, and has one upgrade on the old, 8gb and 16gb versions, now the 3g version is out, wait till xmas, that will be the one to have.......... PERMANENTLY IN THE SITE NAUGHTY CORNER

Thanks wiggs, I downloaded 2.0.2 and can't detect any differences to 2.0.1 (which was a noticeable improvement). But then again, I wasn't having any problems with my 3g signal anyway. If you've got a jailbroken iPhone, I wouldn't rush to upgrade too soon. Paul

There is a new jailbrake tool called quickpwn ..which is very good as it dosent loose all your settings ..unfortunatly its for 2.0.1 at the moment ...although there is a work around Help get this page up the rankings please

Just updated mine to 2.02 and had to reset the voicemail retrieval again. 02 is done automatically, but for other networks you have to do the following:
Click on your iPhone's phone button.
Then click on the Keypad tab.
You need to then add the following code: *5005*86*xxx#. Here xxx would be your voicemail number.
After entering the code you tap call.
This results in the code being set.
Thats all, tap now on the voicemail button and it should automatically call your usual voicemail service.

Already Iphone 3g is being updated, supposed to xmas best seller. Seems like a gimick for us all to keep upgrading. O2 are offering a free ungrade to the 3g if youre an exisiting iphone customer, they say its loyalty but online somewhere I found that someone somewhere in the uk is taking o2 to court over the initial cost on the old iphone back in March only to be updated twice, 8gb then 16gb, and now the 3g.
A lesson to us all, wait till xmas and we will get the iphone they should have released at first PERMANENTLY IN THE SITE NAUGHTY CORNER

I can't think of any modern technology (iPhone or Disco for that matter) that doesn't get updated throughout it's useful designed life. We'd be very upset if these manufacturers didn't update or try to remove those inevitable bugs. If you're waiting for the perfect iPhone edition, then it might be a long wait... Like waiting for a perfect Disco!!! If you shop around, you can now buy a new 09MY Disco for less money than my 05MY was originally sold for - I don't think I'll get very far taking anyone to court though?
