It seems there are a few of you out there now with this bit of kit. I'm still swithering about changing and have been looking at N95 8gb, SE W960i and the Iphone.
I'm looking for some feedback on the apple. How do you find it and how do you 'personally' feel about it? I've read loads and they all say the same...good but draw it level with the N95 with the W960i good but too fiddly for folk with chubby fingers
Does it fit in the ACM holder for the D3 and what functionality does it give.
Thanks, John Needing car cleaning or detailing products.

Pros:
I love mine, don't know how I managed without. I use MobileMe with it to push emails and it knocks spots off the old blackberry. It's the screen that makes it so good, (still draws a crowd). The best thing is that web browsing is actually useable now, which, for me, is the first time on a mobile. Even this site looks good! The fact that my emails, diary, contacts and bookmarks are all push sync'd with both my mac at home and my wifes diary, has now become indispensable for both of us. It also works well as a phone - nice and clear sound. There are some great applications being written for it now and availiable through iTunes. I looked and played with the N95 and it's a good piece of kit, it's just that you'll always wish it was an iphone!!!
Cons:
It works best if you have a mac and can sign up for MobileMe. The keyboard does take some time before you stop thinking about it and start to get fast (took me about a fortnight). It sounds strange but it learns your mistakes and starts to correct - you just need to trust it and type ahead. Biggest issue for me is that sometimes you can notice a lag in the software before it catches up to the speed of your fingers. I notice it when scrolling through a large (over 1000) contacts list. (It can get stutter'y) Apple know about this and say it will be addressed in the next automatic update? Battery life gets better with use but could irritate if you are a heavy user. Camera is only adequate and there's no video.
In summary:
This post was written on my iPhone, and I'm not sure I'd have the patience to do that on an N95 (and I've got sausage fingers!)

I have one and the 2g one aswell ...not much in the 2 .
3g one feels a bit smoother on the back thats about it .3g speeds are great .I have been getting 2.6 meg were i live .
I have fat fingers and have no problems with any of the functions or features.
The old 2g one never realy fitted in the ACM holder very well .All the functions worked ok though .I tryed the 3g one in the freelander i had on loan tioday , but couldn't get any thing to work ( maybee a faulty acm).
The new ACM just comes with a lead so should be no problem there .
I think its a fantastic phone ..i have jailbroke mine so i can add other non apple applications ..just waiting for them to realese the unlocking side then i can use it full time with my works sim card .
2g one not fitting very well

the gadget show this week seemed to like it and put it up against a Nokia 930? (or something)
Not got one myself, my my brother just got a 8GB one and says its great for work/emails etc and the internet side of it works great when his out on the road.
When i played with it, it made me wish i didn't have a year to go on my current orange contract
I wish O2 would pay Orange off so i could swap

The only change to the connector on the 3G involves powering, so if it powers, it should work OK. Trouble is I've heard a lot of people have had trouble connecting to car kits with the 3G when the 2G worked fine. I believe this effects BMW drivers in particular (but they deserve it!). I'm waiting to hear if the new ACM is OK and it'd be worth checking first with any Bluetooth devices. Paul

I thought it was a bit gimmicky BEFORE I got mine three days ago... Functionality is brilliant. So many things you thinks are quirks are real design thoughts. Battery life is terrible but I'm adapting to always have it on charge wherever I am. As Crews has said already, there's not another mobile that I'd even bother trying to surf with. it! It's got a load of black bits on OK!!!
Campaign successful....
