I've been spotted ! (Google)

I think I've been spotted.
Not by one of us... but by the Google car!
Travelling through Teddington last Thursday lunchtime.

It'll probably take a couple of months, until the UK streetview is launched, before I can confirm my spot for posterity. But it got me thinking... I wonder how many D3 members we can get spotted onto the system for all to see? We'd need to be able to track which areas this car is in somehow?

(If you do see it - just remember where you were so you can be spotted when steetview is launched - but not like this)

No wonder they had a crash - they're ALL on the wrong side of the road!

Like crews control, I was there when the GoogleMobile went by. I was idly chatting to the neighbour in the driveway wondering WTF when I saw the appendage on top.

Google did this early this year in Brisbane Australia but there was a hue and cry about the privacy invasion when it finally made an appearance. But the resolution is so poor it shouldn't worry anyone but the most paranoid amongst us!

LeighW,

I too am not that worried about the privacy aspect, especially as they've got new software that blur's all number plates and faces, but it is getting freeky to see all this data being collected about and around all of us.

It took me about 5 mins to find your house and have a look around - is that you with the hat?
The pictures look a little sharper here - nice RAI too...
Was that your wife having a shower around the back?

Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter

There are Google Spies Amongst Us...

Yes Paul, it is me with the hat...

The wife was still out playing silly buggars somewhere at the time and had to wait until neighbour Pete moved the Ford ute before she dared drive in.
