| O/T I Know but is anyone interested in... |
|
I know very off topic but I'm getting rid of my old series that doesn't have any MOT etc
so before I take the spanners and hammers to my old multiple blue coloured 1976 P reg Series III 88' and try and flog in in bits on fleabay,
it could be of interest to anyone that fancies a project that isn't massive? key things are:
polybushed Galvanised HD coil sprung chassis (Designa Chassis) 2.25 5 bearing petrol engine.
RR axles with servoed discs all round 4 speed gearbox with Fairey overdrive, Kenlowe fan, MK2 Vauxhal Astra GTE recaro seats, safari rear door, two forward-facing fold down seats in the back ( one highback ) halogen heaqdlights, '90' wheel arch spats etc etc...
I rebuilt it on the new chassis about 8 years ago but I think it would have probably done about 800 miles since last tax disc ran out in June 06, so it's probably time to move it on? I don't believe it will need a huge amount doing for the MOT as the chassis is galvanised and at the rebuild it had new footwells, door pillars were repaired and then the cavities filled with waxoyl and expanding foam
anyone interested before I disassemble?
of course if anyone buys it from here the standard gratuity will be made to the site global warming my ars...!!!

My cousin in Holland buys them to do up as a hobby. We just shipped one by sea to him a couple of months ago. It was in a shokcing state, so the condition shouldn't put him off.
Where are you though as we would need to get it to one of the ports.

If I could find the pictures of the last one he bought, believe me that would not be a issue. The fact it has a chassis to attach them to and in fact any suspension at all would be a novelty. The rules are different in Holland as this would be tax free there, so it has more appeal there.

Found some of the last one we shipped. It was shipped from Dartford to Rotterdam. Chassis had to be binned unfortunately.

blimey looks like a S2a to me ? mine's nothing like that and if I had a day spare to spend on it, it would go through the MOT no problem I would think, so would probably be a project of minor proportions global warming my ars...!!!

Some of it probably is. It seems a mis match of bits and pieces.
There is a large following of British cars in Holland, especially Triumphs etc. We sent a Spitfire over there as well.
