Hi, I'm a Disco newbie (1 week ) but am interested in the chance to see what it will do and get some tuition. 2 things a) mine is normal road car witih std tyres - will I be able to do the easier runs without risk of wrecking the car? b) are kids welcome?
Cheers, Toby.

Hi Toby
A visit to Tong is ideal to get to know your D3 and what it'll do.
But be aware it'll totaly surprise you in it's ability.
There's levels for everyone .. and it's you who pick where you go.
1] There's a great network of fire roads which wind through the site.
2] Blue route fairly easy off road - ok for newbies and road tyres.
3] Red route is more technical - a level of skill required, potential for slight damage.
4] Black route is difficult, expect damage and to be towed out.
Great day out for yourself, wife and kids.
Hope to see you there.

Thanks for the PM - just got back off holiday and hadn't checked the site for a couple of weeks. Need to confirm the date doesn't clash with anything SWMBO's got arranged but I've signed up on the assumption that all is OK
For those who've posted questions about being new to the game and having road tyres...... what Andy said is 100% true..... you won't believe where these beasts can go. If you don't mind the odd light scratch then all red routes are passable in wet/muddy weather on road tyres with, sometimes, just a little help from a winch or two it all adds to the occasion!
Can't wait for another chance to get dirty!!!!!!

Oops, sorry Ron. What I meant to say was....... "what Ron said is 100% true..."
Incidentally, I also did not mean you will need a winch of your own as there's always lots of muddy helpers around for when you (I, of course, mean me) get stuck TDV6 SE Disco3, Silver

Hi All,
It would be great to be able to make this event, get some tuition and meet everyone. If I don't get fog bound on the platform I should get home 2200 hrs on Wednesday the 8th. Could some one tell me where it is and how far it is from the Humber Bridge. Then I can work out how much sleep I'll be able to get.

We are talking about November matey, the 9th is a Sunday !!
It's about 2 hours from the humber bridge, off Jn 27 of the M62. If you get in on Weds Oct 8th you should have plenty of time for sleep in between TDV6 HSE Auto in Arctic Frost - Hers

Count us in.
Problem is that have 17"s on at present as 2 of the tyres on the Stormers are shot. Getting new tyres on the Stormers, so do I leave the 17"s on until after November or change twice of bring the Defender.
