Shouldn't your dealer do this for you  It will be on the paperwork Remember there is no 'i' in disco3.co.uk

Not if you import the LR3 yourselves. Like me bringing it from the UK to holland I have to go to the Dutch DVLA (RDW) and Customs. They will check if the car corresponce with the paperwork befor getting a dutch licence.
So answer will be nice. Roel

The 4.4 Litre V8 Petrol Engine Serial Number is stamped on the RH side of the starter ring gear housing. LR D3 S Black, Auto TDV6

Hallo Ikke,
I am importing a LHD off course. They are a little bit cheaper and better for us.
The process is simple
1 get insurance for a car on UK license plates (This is most difficult. Call Wiggers and problem is solved)
2 drive to holland
3 Make appointment with RDW for check You can also do this before you go to the UK
4 go to customs and pay BPM approx 9500,- Euro
5 wait alittle for paperwork
6 order license plates
7 Start driving
Problems:
1 Officially you cannot insure a UK licensed car if you live in the netherlands
2 You are not allowed to drive a UK licensed car in The Netherlands
What you could do is put the car on an auto ambulance. Roel

so what about all the British tourist that want to drive up and around Netherlands (like LR3 owner etc)? my 4x4 hasn't grown up yet

Ikke and me are Dutch. So we are not alowed to drive a Foreign car in the netherlands. A german can drive a belgium car in The Netherlands etc. But as a dutchmen you are official not allowed to drive a foreign car in The Netherlands.
We can get a 1 day license but that is only valid to drive to the teststation to get the car registered.
So yes, you could drive my car from the boat to my house. That's not a problem.
