Now that my trundlebus is out of warranty, I can start using aftermarket parts to get the cost down.
Just checked the disc rotors and they have 1mm wear left, but the airfilter needs to be done this week.
Has anyone bought aftermarket filters or is it a case of play safe and get LR stuff
Thanks in advance,
Ryall

If youre looking for an extra bit of performance , then ITG ( use myself) or K & N.I haven't any info on using other brands such as Britpart or Bearmach in a D3.ITG & K&N are a heck ofa lot more expensive than the LR filters , but last a heck ofa lot longer. Don't take life me too seriously ..... it's I'm not permanent

Disc rotors:

You can get the high performance slotted ones. Getting there is half the fun

I chased them up through a local distributor only to be told that they weren't released as yet, I was told they would be released after 4 years from the model launch???.............anyone know any better??

if you intend to keep it for a long time then keep the paper filters as they filter out the dust better and will protect the engine more.

Thanks for all you’re input, Michael the links you posted made interesting reading, so it’s definitely paper air filters for me. It was interesting that they became more effective at trapping smaller dust particles after the element was a bit dirty.
Just came back from LR, spare parts not available on weekend.
I will check DBA next week for rotors as they list suitable ones on their website, but I forgot take the part numbers with me when I went looking locally.

As Richard K wrote, even though the DBA website lists the rotors as being available, they wont be until later in the year. Costs are unknown at this stage.
Bendix brake pads are available right now at approx $90 a set on order from Repco. I don't know what is included in a set for either the front or rear's.
