| Navigation voice guidance disappeared - help! |
|
On hols in France. Cannot get voice guidance to work.
I input the destination address, all OK, the lady says "guidance will start ..etc" then off we go.
But no voice prompts during the journey, so we have to watch the green line on map like a hawk.
When we arrive the lady announces we've arrived and guidance has ended.
I've checked all the usual things: the little icons for voice guidance, volume settings etc.
Is there no voice guidance in non UK countries, or is the system at fault.
What I'm hoping is someone will point to an obvious error on my part!
Thanks
Matthew

Yes VG should be working in any country on the DVD. I can't think of a setting that would reproduce your description though Silver TDV6 HSE
Pepper White Cooper S Convertible
Old English White MGB GT

She just pipes up with "Please refer to the map"
Baffling - obviously not a connection / hardware fault since she comes on announce the start and end of guidance. But not a squeek from her in between.

Have you check the Navigation volume? Surely wouldn't that affect the "please refer to the map", etc! Very dirty 1996 Defender 90 - Soon to be mine!

Yes, I've checked volume and put it high and still nothing.
I wonder if it might be fault with the DVD and/or reader under the seat?
