| Headlight and set of mats - £0 for the lot |
|
Surplus to requirements and no reasonable offer refused
I have 2 headlight units going for a song. Both are D3 passenger side (UK vehicles). One is a standard halogen type and in excellent condition. The other is the bi-xenon type (large round bulb) but not adaptive type. This one is damaged as the front screen is cracked (although apparently still water tight) from bottom almost all the way to the top. The story is that we bought a D3 "S" spec on launch day. 2 months later a crack appeared on the headlight. I never thought to claim under warranty and sourced a replacement from Ebay. Accidentally bought a unit with a halogen bulb fitting rather than the bi-xenon. Eventually sourced the correct item. Only when I traded the vehicle in for a new "HSE" spec did the salesman tell me that a cracked headlight should have been covered under warranty as the crack was almost certainly not due to any user damage (no stone chip or anything like that could apparently crack these covers).
I also have a set of floor mats for a D3. These were the originals supplied with the "S" spec model that I kept when I traded it in. Front mats show small amount of wear, middle row seat mats unmarked.
Pictures below.
No reasonable offer refused. The items are in Northumberland and can deliver around Tyne, Wear and tees. Disco 3 TDV6HSE auto

Thought the little sachets out of a shoebox were the answer to this. Calcium something or other?

I'll try that but it's the seal around the Xenon ballast that seems to be the culprit... global warming my ars...!!!
