4wd action "bargains"

I had 4wd action call me last night selling various products - they recon they're cheap.

Michell's Sacs Water Crossing Bra - $92
T-Max Air Compressor - $150
T-Max Air Jack - $199

I have no idea about these products, but thought I'd post here in case anyone was interested. If so let me know and I will PM you the email details of the person at 4wd action to talk to.

TDMP,

Were they actually selling them or giving them "free" if you subscribed for x issues?

I must say that a few years ago I thought getting products "free" with the subscription was a bonus but the magazine tends to repeat the same stuff over the years. For example, driving in the snow, driving in mud, snatch recovery etc... The trip reports are interesting but the rest of the mag is full of ....

BTW, the Michelles bra cost me $128 at ARB a few years ago, so I suppose $92 is not bad.

What stuff did I get "free":
1. Staun tyre deflators - useful little gadgets
2. Staun underbody sprayer - can't use it due to water restrictions
3. Eveready Dolphin torch and little Eveready torch - never used them, coz headlamps are so much more convenient
4. Piranaha torch - bit of a gimmick
5. Leatherman utility knife - in the globe box and never seen action yet
6. Oh did I mention a magazine full of ads Shocked

Chris – fully agree!

I have subscribed for a few years and got a leatherman (which I always use) and a Highlift jack…both things I was going to buy so I really get the mag for free…

…if I had to pay for it I would not bother…besides the trip reports just the same old monotony…

the stuff for sale was stand alone.

Get the freebies sent to a local address and have them on-forwarded? Dont know if it would be cost effective, but Id be happy to do this for you if you want.

Front tarp for water crossing, Have had one for years, When the D3 came along once again the tarp was altered to fit the bull bar, Of interest my home made one has a hole for the winch cable to go through, and when not needed it can be roled up and secured on the top rail of the bull bar. It works well and so far has been on Tojo hj60, LR D1, Nissan GQ, Tojo 100 series, and now the D3.
