Sounds familiar DSL!
FANTASTIC DAY OUT! Thanks to Rescue01 for organising the trip and to the LRE guys for keeping us out the worst bits of mushy stuff and of course for the shot of a winch (purely for demonstration purposes, obviously ).
Must look at investing in some MTRs if doing peat river beds again, M+S have their limitations
Will get the photos into the gallery tomorrow and will post the video clips on YouTube if I can work out how
Thanks also to the rest of the guys who turned up to make the day as good as it was. It always helps to have a RRS there, coz if he can do it, so can I................ Sail Fast - Live Slow...

Looking forward to seeing the pics and vids. Sounds like a good day out and more challenging than the procession we had the last visit there.
I'd be up for going if it's organised again.

Wonder who!!! Honda dogs say "It's a Land Rover, of course it will break down! If you wanted reliability you should have bought a Honda."
Can't take them anywhere!!!

Two D3's (out of a total of 6 4x4's) in my drive when I got up this mornng. Sorry couldn't attend. Lots to the bottle bank this morning....... The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom

well guys i have just got hyper daughter to sleep
She was wondering why the "old Ladrover in front wouldn't go faster" and "whats that smell"
had to explain the joys of a ninety to her "What no heated seats?" was the reply
Anyway thanks to all who came it was good to see you all, sorry if i never got the chance to chat, sounds like you had fun. i hope it was just the right level of "fun" for you all.
hope there was not too much damage it just goes to show what worn road tyres can do
i enjoyed my day very much although was dissapionted mike in the RRS never got stuck, but having to tow out Steve was good
I think the LRE Disco will be going in for some technical work or just a new driver only joking if your reading this
hope you all got home safe.
i will be in touch with Gilbert and the LRE guys soon(forgot to pay for the Rescue 110 ) and will see if there can be another day out,no doubt with boys turning upwith new MTR's
i will post some pics soon.
thanks guys it was a good day Its not the height of the fall but the sudden stop at the bottom that hurts!!

once i have a play about with the video i'll post the you-tube link. If in doubt............flat out.
