| Shower heat exchanger for D3 |
|
Hi Guys
When offroading in SA, most of us shower using a solar shower bag or gas heater system such as the "Bundu" shower or Kariba range of products - THOSE THAT BOTHER TO SHOWER . I was recently have a look at a website called "ExplorOz" and saw that some guys had fitted heat exchanger showers to their vehicles and they seemed quite effective. Have any of the Oz D3 group fitted these units to their vehicles Some feedback on the fitting and effeciency of the systems would be great

I have a home made one on the defender . Basically about 10 m of copper tubing inside a copper jacket . The jacket is attached inline on the heater box hose . It is extremely effecient , and the water gets hot enough to make coffee . I might do something similar on the D3 when it is out of warranty

Hi Tristan,
We did have a look at portable shower encloures but have stayed with the cold water for now. Makes getting to a pub every now and then for a night more exciting.
