HTC Touch Diamond compatability

Morning people. I am collecting my first ever Disco today, and wondered if anyone knows if the above mentioned HTC Diamond will be compatible with the car's phone prep kit?
It's a MY06 HSE. Any info greatly appreciated.
Cheers

I know it is with the MY08 bluetooth PTI.

Only issues were...

After about about a week, the phone stopped automatically connecting to the D3. Had to do it manually and no manner of messing, resetting bluetooth settings, or even a hard reset on the phone cured it.

Mind you, mine had the original 1.37 ROM and was about as useful as a phone as a cheese sandwich... took it back and returned to a reliable Nokia.

Anyway....

You may want to double check that the PTI has the latest firmware to allow address book reading over bluetooth. This came out as an upgrade recently for older MY D3's.

I'd guess your dealer would upgrade you for free considering how much your paying them for the D3 Whistle

Not sure the dealer would TBH. I had to threaten to walk away just to get a new set of rear tyres on, and the current tyres had maybe 500 miles left in them.
Actually, I have been very un-impressed with the HTC and really wish i had stuck with a Nokia or even gone for an Iphone. Ah well..
Thanks for the info, will be playing around with it all afternoon i imagine.

I think the 1.39 ROM in the Diamond has sorted most of the issues... battery drain (new radio ROM), interface lags etc.

My biggest issue with it was battery life. You unplug the phone from the charger at around 10AM and then only after a normal amount of use, the thing would need charging again mid afternoon Shocked

BTW, I have an in car charger if you want it ? Cigar lighter job.

Think I missed that boat. Bought a cigar lighter in-car charger, and a desk top cradle just a few days ago. £20 the pair. Thanks for the offer though.
So does the phone just sit in any old nook or cranny in the car, and bluetooth to the in-car set-up malarky? Never used my phone through bluetooth previously, just a cruddy hands free kit.

You can have the phone wherever you want.

But if you can see the display, it will make life much easier.
