| Music Downloading....Pay for it or free? |
|
Looking to download a load of music, there seems to be just as many free download sites as ones you pay for.
Whats the advantage of paying? Quality, choice etc? If you are helpful and then stop, you get more agro than if you never helped in the first place.

Legality is another good reason
Seriously, you'll probably find the 'free' music has a low bit rate and thus not that high quality.

The lesson there is to use another computer for the download and then transfer the files via an airgap (not networked) to your system
I have an old laptop which isn't much use for anything except that I use it for just that i.e. if I need to download old drivers or bits of code and don't quite trust the source to risk my main PC. Belts and braises, but it's saved me once or twice despite where something got through me havig a physical firewall box separate to the PC and comprehensive AV/Internet Security application set-up on the PC. In the case of Amy Winehouse and Pete Docherty not paying for their music would be helping them, just like rehab. The less money they get the less drugs they can buy to kill themselves with. Unless you're of the opposite opinion and would like to help them, in which case go and buy a few more of their albums at full price.
