I keep getting pop ups on the screen, running Norton with pop up blocker enabled but i keep getting these tabs at the bottom toolbar starting CiD... Anyone know how to stop these as some have audio etc, very annoying.

The first thing I would do is check your PC for Spyware. It could be you have a rogue app running that is controlling the pop-ups.
What browser you running? There is normally a pop-up blocking setting inside the browser as well,

Looks like you've got something in your system. If your spyware checker is not seeing it try downloading some of the free checkers. Adaware and Spybot are good ones. It is always best to have at least 2 spyware checkers as they don't get all the spyware in one go and having a second to run once a week or month does pick up the strays.

Just a thought Have you down loaded a new toolbar recently? The little beggars have a habit of defeating the pop up blocker to allow pop ups from their own site to get access. If so you might have to uninstall or manually set your blocker to stop them.

5500 problems, what dodgy sites have you been visiting Andy (send me the links as well )
Glad the Spyware scan fixed your problem.

Download Firefox, stop using Internet Explorer. You'll NEVER go back, trust me!
Go here, choose your language and OS
If you prefer to continue using Internet Explorer, then I would suggest you update to version 7 (version 8 will be released in the coming months too so keep an eye out for that one). It is also quite effective at dealing with popups.

Use Ubuntu Linux, comes with FryaFox and open orifice. No as pretty as some, but does what you need and very little in the way of viruses, spyware etc. There are 10 types of people in the world. Those that understand binary, and those that do not
