I decided to clean off the radiator and intercooler today, and whilst removing the fan assembly to get to the rad and intercooler in situ, i noticed the pipe in the picture (circled red) seems to have some kind of road grime/oil deposit all over it. Anybody any ideas what this pipe is for and/or what could be leaking all over it or is it just a general location where grime/oil builds up over time?
(The picture is taken standing in front of the car, just to the left of the radiator and fan cowl assembly.)
The picture doesn't do it justice, as i had already started to clean the radiator etc with the hose on gentle and a toothbrush  , before i took the picture, but it's really caked in gunk. It's going into the stealers next Monday for its 45k service, so wanted to point them in the right direction for fault fix/identification.

Check the jubilee clip is tight. The oily deposit will be from the erg valve letting un burnt fuel/air mix re circulate into the system. I think that internal cleaning of the intercooler is part of the 45k service, well it is on a 110.
