Can any body out there help me . I have just changed my Disco 3 for a FFRR. I didn't have the phone kit on my disco as it was an early one and the kit was not available at the time. I know that the bluetooth is slightly different on the FFRR but is is the same Nokia unit. When I connected my N95 to the unit in most cases it came up with phone not connected even though the nokia was showing it was connected. After trial and error i found that if i switch ignition to pos 2 and wait until the phone connects and downloads the address book and then wait another 15 -20 secs before i start the engine everything is ok If I start the engine too soon the nav screen seems to restart and comes back on with phone not connected. I also found that if i manually switch the unit on , ie to listen to the radio without the ignition , the phone will connect ok but starting the car brings back the phone not connected screen. I thought that this was a problem with the Nokia but the same thing is happening with my new iphone. When this happens there seems to be no way to resync the phone even disconnecting the phone manually and then reconnecting will not re connect. The only way to do it is to switch off the ignition wait about a minute untill the car decides to shut down the bluetooth and retry. Must be an easier way -anybody got any ideas.
