Recommended maximum wading depth is 700mm though it's proven it can go deeper than that - keep it below the air intake vent and use the top of the wheels as a guideline.

Doors are double (if not triple?) sealed so water leaking it isn't a problem provided you're not dithering about - if you leave it long enough water is bound to find a way in.

Keep to the maximum wading depth and don't over-do it and under-bonnet components will be fine. Keep a bow-wave in front of the vehicle to avoid water entering intake.

A D3 is sealed and will actually float.
In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Shocked much to my amazement whilst (roughly) following Ed Cobley at Tixover quarry I managed to get my D3 to float on one of the watery bits - it even went into super extended mode but not one drop of water got into the cabin. It did raise my blood pressure a bit though.

Dunc

You were'nt doing a snatch recovery on Discocuzzy when this picture was taken? Everybody knows he is the worlds worst off roader and would find himself out of his depth in a puddle. Cracking picture, did you make it to the other side?
