discovery 3 in water
when u go through water with a discovery hse does water come through the doors wen water is over bottom of the door? or does water damage any components under the bonnet? thanksnew to discovery 3

Recommended maximum wading depth is 700mm though it's proven it can go deeper than that - keep it below the air intake vent and use the top of the wheels as a guideline.
Doors are double (if not triple?) sealed so water leaking it isn't a problem provided you're not dithering about - if you leave it long enough water is bound to find a way in.
Keep to the maximum wading depth and don't over-do it and under-bonnet components will be fine. Keep a bow-wave in front of the vehicle to avoid water entering intake.

A D3 is sealed and will actually float.In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

much to my amazement whilst (roughly) following Ed Cobley at Tixover quarry I managed to get my D3 to float on one of the watery bits - it even went into super extended mode but not one drop of water got into the cabin. It did raise my blood pressure a bit though.
