Never had any issues with our Burstner - 8m length, and been to more CL's than actual sites. Just mention it when booking, and everything is fine - also just ask about entrance, as some can be a bit tight, but always got to where we were going.
We have the Truma SE mover fitted - best thing we fitted - fully automatic and can hook up in 5 mins by myself.
Got it fitted after the first time we tried to put it in storage, as took 4 of us to push it in......
If you are still looking for a 'van, have a look at ours, as its fully loaded Stuart - Now in a 5 series M-Sport touring.....not so much 'anywhere' but at least everywhere quicker....
For Sale, fully loaded Burstner S-Class 630TS fully loaded all for £12,250.00....

We have a 8.1m caravan with a Pwrtouch motor mover. Very rarely use the motor mover other than to line the wheel up with the Alko wheel lock.
when we have tried to move the van with the motor mover the wheels have just spun in the loose gravel we were parked on. You can get a motor mover for each axle and thus 4 wheel drive but that costs a lot more.
I tend to use my Winch on the D3 if the Motor mover fails that always amazes the old duffers who insist on watching with a glass of wine in hand
Good excuse to buy a winch though
we havnt had any problems getting into sites, although it was a bit (well very) tight getting into the farm site where ryan organised this years lakes event. Had to drive the D3 up the hedge at a 30degree to manoever in through the gate. took about 5 mins though with only millimetres to spare. Duncan

we have 7.7m Hymer on a single axle with PwrTouch mover - never had any issue moving the thing about. Even earlier this year - when after a night of -istent rain when awoke to find the van & awning stood in four inches of water. Wipped the awning down and moved the van out of the mini-lake using the mover to get us to marginally higher ground. 2007 TDV6SE Auto Stornoway Grey/Alpaca

Thanks for all the info,
We're pretty far down the selection of what will suit us (we are 5 berths with 16 and 14 and 7 year old kids), but can't get away from the long twin axels.
Off to the NEC week after next, but may have decided bought before then - the new vans are focused on fixed bed and small showers!
Thanks again - Dunc definetley need a winch now you've provided that scenario - I owe you a beer! Richard......

Wait till the NEC show Richie.
You'll be able to play dealer off against dealer and get a bigger discount - especially as they're desperate for sales, judging by the junk mail i've been getting off them recently.
When we brough ours, we had three dealers trying to get our business - in the end we ended up going to Blackpool to get the van, as they gave us the best deal.
