Hi Guys, slight issue with my i-phone integration.
I leave my bluetooth on my phone on generally most of the time, get in car, drive off etc nut if I get an incoming call, the first one doesn't connect.
ie, ring ring...pull the answer button on the steering wheel and nothing.
If the person then calls back, it answers OK.
Pretty sure that this has only started happening since the 2.1 update.
Any clues or am I doing/not doing something daft?
Also, I don't seem to be getting the "exchanging data" message anymore...hhmmm

Mine is doing exactly the same thing. All the firmware updates have done nothing to improve the phone, if anything I'd say it's made it worse. It has started to send some incoming calls straight to voice mail even though the signal coverage is ok, I've tried a system restore to resolve these issues but its not sorted it. If it does'nt sort itself out in the next update I'll send it back. Is that your head or as your neck been sick?

Probably a Landrover issue, as my iphone reconnects as soon as its in range of my BT headset, same firmware.

OK, I've just been on the phone to Apple and the guy was quite helpful and spoke to the geeky fella's.
Apparently, this is a KNOWN issue and ANOTHER firmware update is due soon, however, he couldn't tell me when but it should be fixed then.
Might be worth anyone else having this problem giving them a ring too. 0870 876 075 31, at least if enough people moan about it, it might actually get sorted. Keeping it Claret and Blue

I had the same issue on the latest firmware, work around is to answer the call on the phone for the first call and then use the steering-wheel controls for all other calls. I have not tried the stereo buttons to answer the call so will see if this has the same effect as the wheel buttons...

Mine works as it should do most of the time. Only occassionally does it not connect, but a quick click into the blutooth settings & re-connecte & it's all sound it! It's got a load of black bits on OK!!!
Campaign successful....

Same issue, and I agree with MOZZA - answer the first call using the iPhone rather than steering wheel controls - that seems to set the audio routing up correctly for the rest of the journey.
Definitely an issue since the new firmware update - so I hope the fix is on it's way! 08 LR3 SE - 02 D2 SE7

To chime in here as well. I am another victim of bad firmware LOL. Same issues, I'm encountering with the new firmware. I also have a lousy echo with the iphone, and only with the iphone. Drives me nuts!!!
Cheers!

I did have the Apple Bluetooth headset. That lil is obnoxious. I ended up getting rid of it. The volume level wasn't too good, and it always seemed to never fit right in my ears. Of course your mileage may vary, but for the money there are definitely better headsets!

The Aliph Jawbone is the best headset I've ever used
Even with the windows down in the D3 at 70MPH... the person at the other end can hear you as clear as a bell... In fact they would not even know you had the window open

Agree with SIMON - Jawbone, or now Jawbone II are both amazing BT Headsets.
I've used both - nothing else comes close for noise cancelling 08 LR3 SE - 02 D2 SE7
