1. suspension lowering from off-road height setting at 40kph instead of eg. 80
2. spare wheel underneath
3. electronic hand brake
4. head rest that doesn't adjust at all...

Simon

Yep, they are my 4 complaints, although for me spare wheel is more an issue of where the winder access it, and the low quality of the winder unit itself.

Oh, plus the HSE seat memory with a mind of it's own.

If only they:

1. Changed the suspension auto lower speed to 75km/hr
2. Put the winder for the spare wheel near the trailer electric plug in rear bumper (and made the winder a quality one)
3. Put a manual park brake
4. Let the headrest adjust a small amount.

... then it would be a perfect car in my books.

Bye,
Scott

Head restraint.

My partner had exactly the same problem with the headrestraint. Loved the previous Disco 2, but after two weeks in Tasmania, did not want to drive with me anymore!
I removed both front headrestraints, stripped off the covers and slightly bent the metal bars in a vice, reinstalled all and now everyone is very happy.

I would add in at No.4
"All Terain Response that reverts back to "Normal" overnight.

Very annoying when you're spending a couple of days on the sand. I found out when I could feel the traction control kicking in going up over a dune. I thought maybe I'd done it while showing the gadgetry off to fellow campers, but sure enough, next morning it had gone back to "Normal"

I can't help but wonder, if Landrover just introduced an IQ test before allowing a D3 purchase we could have avoided a lot of the very annoying little things.

Off road the seatbelt, and door-open-key-in-the-ignition warnings drive me insane!!

I know the key's in the ignition - I put it there!! What next a your-in-the-car-and-the-key's-in-your-pocket chime!??

Having said all that - heaven help anyone else who criticises my Disco!!! Very Happy

Thanks Tristan,

I had read that post, after my trip, but as murphy's law would have it the most annoying one, the keys in ignition, seems to be the most difficult to remove.

I actually think you are more likely to lose the keys because of this alarm. I know when we were camping I'd pull up, take the keys out, and then wonder where the hell I'd put them - hoping it wasn't just in my pocket when I went for a dip.

I still haven't seen a plausible explanation of what it is supposed to stop you doing? I mean I can tell it doesn't want me to leave the keys there, but unless they include a chime that helps me find the keys again it's useless.

I am happy that i can turn the seatbelt one on and off, as around town I do like it on.
