| Cant activate the phone book over bluetooth !! |
|
Went to collect the car today after having the wheel bearing replaced (under warranty ). I had also asked them to activate the "phone book over bluetooth". Unfortunatly they cant do it. although the LR site comfirms that my VIN nos cam be upgraded the upgrade keeps failing.
when they commence the upgrade the exisiting phone software is comfirmed as being compatible but then a couple of mins later a message something along the line of "no software components available" is reported and the upgrade aborts.
They have tried all sorts of resets, confirm that the phone software is the latest version but are perplexed as to why it wont allow it.
Anyway, its booked in for a week on Monday when they hope to have a replacement phone module ECU and will keep trying (all under warranty ).
Has anybody else had this problem ? Duncan

Yep I had the same issue, couldn't sort the software at all. Solved in the end by my nice dealer swapping the Bluetooth module for one from an 08MY and it works

I had mine upgraded last year and the dealer had the same problem, they fixed it in the end by fitting a new bluetooth unit. Zambezi Silver TDV6 HSE, Privacy glass, Side steps and Maxxraxx 5 Bike carrier.

Thanks TLO, thats what MJF thought. do you know if it can be done under warranty ?. the service chap at MJF said he would make some calls and try but wasnt sure if LR would play ball because we are trying to activate an 07 piece of software on top of the 06 module. Seems like a bit of a grey area Duncan

I was lucky in a way that I asked for the upgrade to be done before I took delivery of the car, as they had agreed to this they swapped the box FOC. Doubt I would have got it under warranty.
