Has anyone off the forum attended this event in the past.

I'me thinking about doing the trip, would appreciate any info from past attendees.
Thanks in advance.

Kevin-T,
I haven't attended this, but I was in the Pyrenees in that area (basically just over the mountain on the Spanish side) a few weeks ago. Only went up some tracks, but the area is superb and there are lots of places to get to. I really recommend the area.
This is very tempting and I will be in the same area next year at around those dates - I might look into this as well (contingent on them giving a reduced price as I won't need ferry etc).

Not wishing to pee on the bonfire, but my office car (a Euro saloon) has air suspension which can lift the car 2 or 3cm ISTR. Looking at the photos, it could handle every road shown, with the possible exception of one. Nice views, but on the basis of the pics, it looks a bit tame?

NJF - based on the pics, you're right. But if they take some of the routes that are up there, then it could be good fun.
A number of the main tracks I saw and drove on are "driveable". But I passed numerous side tracks that wouldn't fall into the driveable category without a 4x4. Didn't take any as I had no idea where they went to... The next American ex-pat that calls it a "truck" is going to find out what 2.7 tons feels like on their foot...

Has anyone been out with this outfit on one of their one-day tours in the UK? They look reasonably priced.

Went with Landtreks.com earlier this year (I see our D3 is hiding at the back of the convoy on their home page)
Keep meaning to do a write up & post some pics.
Had a great time out there
Have come accross ukLANDROVERevents out and about in the UK (Lakes & Yorkshire) seems a likeable guy, haven't yet been on a trip with them. D3 number 3: 08 TDV6 SE Stormygrey /owlpacker
SIII Lightweight - neglected & rusting. Bulkhead now disintegrated - but its got a full service history!

We did a trip over Swaledale with them earlier this year had a great day and will be going with them again, very friendly people.
They provided all the vehicles with PMR's and the routes where good fun and not damaging, but book early they are very popular with returning customers.

Hi all, we've on quite a few day trips with uk events and also on the Andorra trip (07). We where in a tdi auto then. 300 miles from Andorra the alternator let go. Thankfully wegot to Andorra on battery power. Parts for L/R's are hard to come by so the lads at uk organisied one to be shipped out from the UK. Would recommend these lads anytime in fact we've booked for 09, see you there, we're also doing the Wensleydale run next weekend (26th)

There don't seem to be many Discos taking part - looks fun though, although not sure about road tyres! 2007 TDV6 SE Zermatt Silver, auto, black leather and nothing else!

Some of the greenlanes would be tight for a D3 for sure, but the Andorra trip no problem. If you look on there web site and go to the pictures from previous trips you'll see there where 2 D3's on this years trip..

be very careful if you decide to drive some of the side tracks, because although they may be passable they may not have right of way status(bit like british green lanes)and you could get a hefty fineand possibly your car impounded.all the tracks that ukevents use are always checked for legal status befor use.
NJF
same of the tracks are tame but when you get up the mountains some of them are badly rutted due to washout from heavy rains.we had no probs in our disco even with standard wheels and tyres.
its still a good trip though, realy enjoyable.thinking of going next year again one life, live it
