wet electrics

I'm at Cardiff services wait for discowex to appear with his new series somethingorother on the back of a trailer.

he rang to say having problems with electrics - turning off the car, removing the key and still the engne was running Confused

thinks it might be water getting into the towing electrics?

anyone had any problems with this? Should he just keep going???

He'll be here in an hour hopefully so any advice would be welcome

My Mini did this loads in Italy on Censored Agip fuel. Whilst in now way can I offer a solution to the problem. I can say that the only way to stop the Mini, was a forced stall. Clutch in, brake on. 3rd gear - clutch out . . .

V-power in tank - sorted Thumbs Up

Never driven anything that gets so Censored y about a loose wire in a trailerboard. At one stage I was pressing the brake pedal and I lost every single light , including headlights , except the trailer lights.Engine kept running even with the key withdrawn and the only thing that could stop it was if I pressed the brake pedal.I thought something was up when I pulled into Meanies drive as I tried to turn off the radio and it wouldn't switch off Confused
The fun started just as I got onto the M4 for the trip back.
Lost all programs , suspension dropped , not that I needed them on the motorway mind except could have done with the cruise control.I had to leapfrog my way from Meanies to the other side of Cardiff before I met Tanters.
After that it wasnt so bad as he was watching my rear ( I think he enjoyed it Shocked ).All he saw the whole way to Fishguard was my spray Whistle

Anyway made the trip very interesting . Very Happy
