Thanks Mac. I got stung like that last year when buying a DS for the oldest. Couldn't find one on the high st, but managed to track one down on Dixons web site. When it did not arrive at the appointed hour I checked the order to find they 'declined' it. That was on 18th Dec. I managed to get one from Amazon but paid through the nose.
Dixons did however send me a nice e-mail on X-mas Eve telling me they had been unable to fulfill my order due to lack of stock.
If anyone from Dixons Customer Services reads this - Thanks for not answering my e-mails you Toxxers
By the way - not bought a single item from Currys/Dixons/PC World groups since. 07 Silver TDV6 XS Manual + Tubes, Tints, White indicator repeaters, Xtreme H7s, LR dog Guard and Valeao Windy-Wipers

Naughty room has PC, xbox, good enough hi-fi and a bed! Its only missing a fridge, for beer, and some sort of microwave... Now there's a thought!
Anyway, I think we should have a Halo 3 bash on Wednesday, I'll nick book the living room and should be able to manage any time between 5 and 7! Very dirty 1996 Defender 90 - Soon to be mine!

Just got a PS3. The PS3 was "free" from Carphone Warehouse when I replaced 'er indoors' phone. Got a few games for it, but Burnout Paradise City is the pick of the bunch - crashing in slo-mo in HD is cool; the kids love Lego Star Wars; GTA4 is a bit disappointing, but then I've only played it once so far and I was a little bit elephant's at the time so didn't really get the hang of the controls, which are different from the PS2 GTA games. I also like the fact you can put music on the PS3, and in my opinion, playback is superior to an iPod. Blu-ray playback is also excellent. Biggest PITA is the wifi connection, which is very poor (my router is in the next room, but the Wii connects, whereas the PS3 doesn't).
I would certainly recommend a Wii for the variety of software available: Warioware is humourous; Mario Galaxy is epic (i.e. I find it hard); Call of Duty 3 is fun if you like shooting people; Driver is not GTA, but still good.
Oh, and get a big-ass TV to watch them on: Panasonic PZ plasmas rule (that'll start another war). TDV6 S Auto, Cairns Blue
...oh, and a Mini Cooper S for the mid-life crisis
and an Orange EVO8 for the weekend, sir - the best 2x1 ba gum

Have every computer and console you've ever owned (upto recently anyway) running on your PC
That's amazing, it's like going to back to the early 80's
