Early ones were more of a problem, largely sorted now. Getting there is half the fun

hi and welcome to the Forum, My D3 is 3 years old on Dec 8th, and my D3 spent more time at the Dealer's than with me for the 1st 12 to 18 month's it is pant's on fuel, my wife had it right down to 12.6 mpg, and ive had it up to 22 mpg, the Dealer and LR have washed there hand's of my car now, i had a chap at LR that was on my side, until they sacked him, nobody wants to take my case on now, i even took my D3 to local Dealer on Sunday and he told me that my pride and joy less than 3 years old with 18625 miles on dealer maintained LRD3 that sparkles in the light because its so well polished and cared for that is worth £13500 part ex against a new D3, so you can tell iam not best pleased, BUT i don't know what it is but the car is great, its ace to drive, it will pull a house down, it tows like a dream, e.g. one of my work mates bought a suzuki sj410 off ebay from a guy in Newcastle so we went to fetch it with our D3, i forgot it was there, 65-70 mph down A1 across M62 and i was getting 20mpg at that. So whilst i can agree with the grin factor iam hooked, but iam just thinking i might have to try another Dealer and another D3. I had the TD5 before my D3 and that was a great car and economical, so it's either anther Dealer or extend the warranty for another year, i don't want to get caught out with any big bill's till i can afford a new D3, I thought with the econonmic climeate they would jump at the chance to sell a £40000.00 car and do a good deal but i think i was wrong, so i will just have to keep the old girl a little bit longer .
In summary you have just bought one hell of a car and don't let what has happened to me put you off because in spite of what has happened me and the wife love our car and we will buy another one, i mean let's face it what else is there they are the best 4x4 by far "IT'S BOURNVILLE NOT BLACK"

Have had ours just over 3 years now. A few niggles with software probs in the first year and a steering pump failure in the second. All fixed under warranty and picked up by the fantastic LR Assistance with hire car thrown in. Last time a Range Rover Vogue.
It is the most comfortable car i have ever driven on long distances and perfect for a family of 5 and all their bikes strapped on the back.
30 mpg fully laden on a run but around 17 in London.
