Got myself some V Sport Alloys this weekend to replace the 17" OEs. 295 Continentals fitted. Boy did they weigh some when fitting. Bit tight underneath now but I think it looks the business! Now I need to find some off road tyres to fit the 17s. Anyone got any recommendations? I don't want to belong to any club that would have me as a member...........

I had read that other folks had problems with them but first decent run on them to work this morning went ok. At speed up the A1 and then down A64. No wobble at all - very smooth. In fact less wobble than I got from my OE 17s which had a fair vibration through the steering at around 65 - 70 mph. I'm off to Malvern next week which will be virtually all motorway so I'll report back any problems. I don't want to belong to any club that would have me as a member...........

All the way to Malvern and back via Newark (passenger pick up) and not a shimmy. Runs much smoother than on the OE17s. Good trip and the dog got RCC to boot. Must be something else causing probs. for others? Picked up a Camping Gaz 12v fridge and dropped middle rear seat to sit it there. Only prob. was all the lads were necking the chilled Becks whilst I had to drive.

Cooper ST or STT seem to be the choice tyre for 17inch wheels, although I seem to remember the BFG TA/KO and Grabber AT2 are getting quite popular. Search the site for those. I wanna live 'til I die, no more, no less.

Everyone at work reckons it looks like a Chapeltown Yardies Pimp Mobile! Just jealousy from the Ford Mundano owners. I don't want to belong to any club that would have me as a member...........

Nah, that would be the black KAHN D3 (SN08 ***) I saw yesterday on the A303 in Somerset.
