I have an MY08 TDV6 SE with standard radio fitted. I want to program out the auto door locking when driving. Can I do it myself or do I need to go to the dealer.

Dealer I'm afraid or independent with the right kit.
Steering wheel controls alone will not even give you access to the Settings Menu.
Sorry.

Dealer job unless you have the screen with sat nav. Getting there is half the fun

Hi Bill,
Just curious - why would you want to have the auto door locking de-activated?
I actually had the dealer activate mine as I love the safety aspect re car jacking. My dad got car-jacked once and I'm probably a bit more sensitive to this issue than most.
The doors will automatically unlock when you turn off the engine or remove the keys anyway. Its a good reminder to take your keys when leaving the car.
I got used to this feature from the Disco2 and certainly prefer it to having to manually lock the doors every time.
It also gives me more peace of mind when my wife is driving home from work late at night.

Bill,
Like eran48, I had the stealers activate mine. In my previous job which involved night shifts, I had a drunk jump into my passenger seat when I was stopped at the lights. Lucky for me, the drunk was a she, who had lost her keys and money. A short drive to the local police station fixed her up, but it was a wake up call for me. '06 Disco 3 TDV6 SE Buckingham Blue

Yep but my point is that the settings menu is tied to the "i" button on the left hand stalk (which may or may not go along with the factory sat-nav screen as a spec issue), AFAIK.... Cheers
