| PARROT MKi9100 and MKi9200 |
|
http://www.parrot.com/documents/en/produits/fiche_mki
Thinking of ordering one of these. Has anyone seen or used one yet? They are pretty new on the market. I've had a CK3100 for a few years in my D2 and it has been pretty reliable, so this seems to be a natural upgrade, bringing the ability to play music from your phone as well as make calls over BT.
Also, does anyone know of any reputable Parrot installers near Bath/Bristol (just in case I don't fancy ripping my new D3 dash to bits!)?

He knows all there is to know on installing the Parrot kit, very tidy installs too........Highly recommend mate.
Mine works well too, no need for iphone integration as I can still stream my music via bluetooth. The only thing I cannot do is forward trough the tracks on the steering wheel controls.
I have audio mute, the music fades when receive or make a call, but a word of caution, the mute works fine on the radio but if you are using the SATNAV and it gives you instructions/directions, it mutes the phone call. I have checked with Parrot to see if this is correct, and yes!!!! there's no way round that one I am afraid. PERMANENTLY IN THE SITE NAUGHTY CORNER

The mk range aren't out until mid November, I am also looking at the 9200. Can anyone confirm that the Jaguar lead fits for the steering controls? Also a member of avforums.com

Not trying to cause trouble, but why was this link removed?
To me it just looks like a helpful recommendation of a fellow user based upon his experience with the guy/company?
Surely that's not a bad thing to do is it?

I want to join your comment, Paul, by saying that it had no smell of selling your staff thru the forom as some others do agresivly.
Nevertheless I respect this foroms as being super helpful with a bunch of nice guys, and I suggest to look at it as one time poor mistake

it was removed as I should have realised we have guys on the forum that can do this, and really we should get permission before linking a web site.......Give him a call anyway if you are unsure.....he is helpful, and he will tell you what leads you need.
See site rules on commercial Postings and that will explain, maybe I should have read them too.

Hang on a minute.....
As there was no 'post edited' message and the link was previously visible after other posts had been made then it must have been edited afterwards by one of the mods.....and from your happy-go-lucky reply I'm guessing that you have been informed of that by PM by said mod.
So does the fact that a sponsor pays for adverts mean that potentially better/cheaper suppliers are ruled out and dissallowed from being recommended by fellow members???? There's something very wrong about that.
McLeod - You did not post a comercial link - it is not your company or your services and you were not offering anything. Read the rules yourself and you'll see......you simply posted a link to a company that gave a good service and I think you did the right thing. Whether a site sponsor can do the same thing has nothing to do with it.
I'm also sure that most sponsors would agree that competition is a good thing. Being a sponsor puts your name on every other page and gives you the right to discuss your own services and products with the framework of the forum....
Something sounds very wrong here McLeod......I don't understand why putting the website of a potential supplier is against forum rules.
Sorry for the rant chaps....I hope I've missed something here, but it doesn't sound right to me 2006 TDV6 SE Auto Buckingham Blue

I was'nt informed of anything, no contact from a mod either......................read the rules I guess, its polite to ask before posting a company offering products/installs that site sponsors can also offer.

OK...maybe I imagined seeing other posts before you edited your one

In this point I would guess that you didn't actually read the rules because they make no reference to whatever it is that you're going on about.....being polite has nothing to do with it - if you'd asked any of the mods or Martin I'm sure they would have sent you back to your 'naughty corner' and told you to stop being silly
Anyway, I feel happier (although confused) that it was your decision and not site admin 2006 TDV6 SE Auto Buckingham Blue
