| Confirmation of latest wheel alignment settings |
|
I've read through the site and it seems LA204-008 Discovery 3/LR3 - Uneven Tire Wear VINS: 5A300259-6A403382 is the latest wheel alignment setting. Can someone please confirm that I am correct? Need to have my alignment done.
Also, is there a way to confirm that the dealer actually puts the D3 into right mode prior to wheel alignment outside of just asking them if they did it?
Thanks!!! USA

I'd presume you'd have to have access to IDS or Autologic to see the suspension settings records or something like that.
When you do get the latest target values for the alignment let us all know Good Luck Don't take life me too seriously ..... it's I'm not permanent

Does anyone know if a dealer has the ability to print out the suspension or wheel alignment settings that were performed on a D3? I dropped off my D3 this morning and handed my service manager the latest TSB referenced above, explained that I had premature inner tire wear and he responded with: "yeah, we got all that, we know about that". I left him with the print out anyway, but the guy didn't even look at it. This dealer has stolen $ out of my car previously so I don't trust them to begin with. USA

I believe they should be able to do so as its set using the IDS ?.
My own dealer doesn't have the equipment for alignment , instead they send it next door to an outfit where they do have the setup and print/readout .If they have a computer screen then they should be able to print from it, I would imagine.
You wouldn't mind sending me a copy of that TSB would you ? Don't take life me too seriously ..... it's I'm not permanent

TSB - LA204-008: Discovery 3/LR3 - Uneven Tire Wear - VIN range: 5A300259-6A403382
Summary: A customer may report a concern of uneven tire wear.
Cause: Certain vehicles may experience a degree of 'bush settle' after the initial geometry setting following production (this has now been compensated for using calculated geometry settings introduced from the VIN above). This 'bush settle' may change the geometry settings to outside of normal tolerance and may increase tire wear. This issue is not experienced on all vehicles and the toe sensitivity may be attributed to other factors.
Action: Should it become necessary to adjust vehicle geometry due to specific complaints of tire wear, it should be set to the dimensions detailed in this bulletin. For all other cases requiring geometry setting, the dimensions in the workshop manual should be used. USA
