I've just had to renew my tax disc, and got a pleasant surprise only £210 for another 12 months !! I was sure, although I did not pay much attention to the details, that it would be muuuuuch higher this time round. Only the service and extended warranty to sort now.
Also there is a chance to win an eco Seat car if you complete it online...wooohoooo

I think some cars are band F - Thats 2005 and older and some cars are band G 2006 and newer.
Havnt researched this but I didnt change my car for a Band G for that reason - now the goverment from next year will all the D3 in the highest bands as they back dated it to 2000/2001 I think 05 2.7TDV6 S AUTO Silver - Retro-fitted Leather.

If registered before 23/3/2006 then you keep the cheap rate until Mar 2010 (I think)
EDIT: found my screenshot from DVLA website

What I'm not sure is what 2009-10 means - is it April 1 2009 to March 31 2010? If it is then I'm good for two more £210 bills with my Feb 2006 motor Steve N | 2006 TDV6 S Auto in Buckingham Blue | Member of the top ten club | Am I online?

If your D3 was registered before 23/3/06 then for 12 months tax until 31/3/09 is £210, then from 1/4/09 to 31/3/10 it's £300, the from 1/4/10 it's £430 for 12 months.
This Parkers page has the info:
http://www.parkers.co.uk/cars/road-tax/Default.aspx?deriv=29169
So, make sure you renew tax before 1st April for the next 2 years!

That's why I taxed mine for six months only in June I know renwal is at Christmas every year now, but the saving over the next two years will help towards some prezzies
